With a new year came a new ringtone.  While I have appreciated listening to Young Forever (love Jay-Z in case you somehow have never noticed) ever time I got a call or woke up I thought it was time for a change.    This is also a favorite so I wanted to share:

Wake Me Up When September Ends

When I was younger I always looked at September as a beginning - the beginning of school & the beginning of fall.  Somewhere along the years it started to signify the end - the end of summer and freedom.  

For the last decade or so September is always a rougher month to get through & it seems like Im not the only one.  Music is great because it can often get you out of funks.  Sometimes though you want the music you are listening to to fit your mood, so here it goes:

I was thinking about how this has been the best summer since I was a kid.  Mainly because for the first time  since I was 16 I haven't been working almost every day of the summer away.  Then I thought, this really is the best summer ever.  I mean I get to be in a beautiful city, got to have friends visit me, and there are just a lot of things you can't do when you're a kid ;)

I also got some exciting news today.  I'll have to share it in a bit though.

Butttt I was thinking some of you are probably being responsible adults and need a boost to get you over the hump of Wedensdays with the weekend in sight.  Even though almost every day is the weekend I'm looking forward to Friday because I have a friend, Crystal, coming to town.    So here is a little bit of happiness a la music videos on youtube to hopefully speed up the week.  Enjoy!
